Late Imperial China and the Society for Qing Studies turn 50 in 2015. The first issue of Ch'ing-shih wen-t'i was published in May 1965. The journal and society will commemorate this anniversary throughout the year, beginning with a panel at the Association for Asian Studies meeting in March 2015. Several prominent scholars, including Susan Naquin and Charlotte Furth, shared comments at this event.
